101 things to do in 1001 days

101 things to do in 1001 days

Update (o5/08/09): I noticed a lot of people get here through searches for 101 in 1001, so I’ll just add that there is a group on Internet to connect with other people undergoing this project. It’s just a means to share the goals, discuss and motivate. You can find the group here.

The Mission:

Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.

The Criteria:

Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).

The last couple of months have seen me trying to figure out a lot of things and plan for the future. While surfing the Internet a few days ago, I stumbled on a group for the Dayzero project, curious I went on to the site to find out what it was all about. I thought “hey why not, I can do this”, so I created a list of things to do.

In the past I have decided new goals on the turn of a new year and most times the goals haven’t been specific. In creating this list I found that actually writing down specific things to do actually clarifies things much more. I don’t expect to magically complete every single item which is why I tried not to set unrealistic goals, just a bunch of fun and serious things to do.  Also putting this list on this blog ensures that I and other people see it regularly and gives a feeling of accountability and some motivation.

I don’t have 101 yet, partly because of the eminent change I’m expecting in my life later this year which will give me new things to do. I hope to blog about the goals as I achieve them or try to achieve them. You can see my list here.

  1. Best of luck with your list! If you’re looking for ideas, an easy way is to look at all the lists on Day Zero Project’s website.

I’m doing my own list, which you can view here. I also have links to some fellow 101 in 1001 bloggers. Please come join our little community. 🙂

      1. When you’re finished writing your list, please let me know and I will add you to my links page!
